It’s a new film that combines crowdfunding, a Suicide Party, and a gala media campaign in a hilarious dark comedy that’s an antidote to the crazy economic turmoil of today.

Here’s a brief summary of what it’s all about – and watch the SUICIDE PARTY: SAVE DAVE trailer below.  Screeners are available for distributors, festivals, and soon to the media.   And see our more detailed synopsis and photo gallery from the film shoot.

When All Else Is Lost, Will a Suicide Party Help?
A Dark Comedy on a Serious, Timely Topic

Suicide Party: save Dave PosterThe film tells the story of Dave, in middle management at a large investment firm in Las Vegas. He seemed to have everything — a beautiful wife, a nice house, and a good life.  But when his company downsized him, he lost everything: his money, his home, his car…  Even his wife left him.

So he decides to have a Suicide Party with the help of his friend, Steve, a sometimes entrepreneur, and to launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for it with the help of a media guru, Gidget.  If he raises enough to save his house and get back on his feet, he’ll live; otherwise, he’ll end it all at the party.

The result is a media frenzy and a series of wild and wacky adventures, as plans for the party proceed and others have different agendas in attending the party.  But will Dave raise enough to live?  Will he actually kill himself?  Or something else?

SUICIDE PARTY: SAVE DAVE tells the story of what happened.

The film was inspired by events leading to a series of books by lead writer Gini Graham Scott: Living in Limbo: From the End to New Beginnings and a groundbreaking book The New Middle Ages, comparing the growing inequality in America to the life of the nobility and peasants in the Middle Ages.

The film is directed by Jack Skyyler and Alex Zinzopoulos of Dear Skyyler Productions, which has produced over 30 feature films. The lead actors include Stephen Medvidick, Rick Lundgren, Jayme Lake, and Anna Shields. Jack has won 3 “Best Director” awards and 1 REMI.
